FRANKFURT, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- German stocks edged down on Tuesday, with the benchmark DAX index down 45.05 points, or 0.35 percent, to close at 12,825.82 points.
Deutsche Bank lost 2.72 percent, the top loser among the blue chips, followed by reinsurance company Munich Re and multinational chemical and pharmaceutical company Bayer, which lost 1.93 percent and 1.29 percent respectively.
Energy group RWE gained 2.01 percent, becoming the top gainer. European multinational online food-delivery service Delivery Hero and chemical and consumer goods company Henkel advanced 1.81 percent and 1.80 percent respectively.
Manufacturing and electronics company Siemens was the most traded share, with a turnover of 217.78 million euros (254.85 million U.S. dollars).
China's Haier, a leading global household appliances manufacturer listed in Frankfurt in 2018, rose 1.42 percent to close at 0.794 euros per share on Tuesday.
