THIS WEEK: The 62nd running of the Daytona 500 -- the season's first of 36 points races -- sees new faces in new places, welcomes a second-time series champion in Kyle Busch and packs all the drama that comes with pack racing at 200 mph. ... Denny Hamlin won this race last year, his first of six victories of the season. ... Xfinity regular Justin Haley won the summer race in a shocker, leading only the final lap in an overtime finish. ... Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will start on the pole, with Alex Bowman starting on the outside of the front row. Bowman started in the same spot last year. ... The rest of the field of 40 cars will be set Thursday night by the Daytona 500's unique qualifying races, called Duels, where drivers who have not already won a starting spot on the front row will be placed on the grid based on their finish in one of the two 150-mile Duel races. There are 43 drivers on the entry list and 40 total spots available, so three drivers will miss the race after the Duels.

THIS WEEK: The series returns to action after the offseason for the first of 33 races. ... Michael Annett won this race last season, his only victory of the year, and Ross Chastain won the July race. ... There will be a new series champion this year as Tyler Reddick graduated to the Cup Series after winning two straight titles. ... This will be the 57th series race at the track.

THIS WEEK: Also back to start 2020, the Trucks are running their first of 23 races. ... Austin Hill won the race last year, the first of his four victories on the season. ... Matt Crafton is the reigning series champion and is back to defend his title. ... This will be the 21st series race at Daytona.

Pro Stock Motorcycle starts at the third event of the season, the Gatornationals on March 12-15. ... Next up is the NHRA Arizona Nationals Feb. 21-23 in Chandler, Ariz. ... Kalitta leads the Top Fuel points with 117, followed by Austin Prock (99) and Brittany Force (87). ... Beckham leads Funny Car (126), with John Force (94) and Matt Hagan (86) giving chase. ... Coughlin is on top of Pro Stock (130), followed by Jason Line (94) and Erica Enders (80).
